Ex-Commissioner's Wife, Former Commissioner for Educaton, Mrs. Yingi Edunam Kidnapped.

When will issue of kidnapping end in this country? Or is kidnapping common in every country? As for me, this mischief need a prompt intention. After we thought that telephone conversion had provided a lasted solution to kidnapping yet it is still occurring.
Just yesterday, gunmen suspected to be kidnappers yesterday struck at Ekri Itam in Itu Council Area of Akwa Ibom State and took away the wife of a former Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Yingi Edunam.  Mrs. Edunam was said to be returning from the market in the neighborhood and as she was about entering her compound, a black Mercedes Benz blocked her entry and whisked her away.
Confirming the incident in a telephone interview, the husband, Dr. Effiong Edunam, said his little daughter that followed the mother to the market was thrown from the vehicle, while the kidnappers drove away in his wife’s sport utility van.

According to him, the kidnappers, who were more than three, had earlier blocked the wife while she was leaving for the market.
Dr. Edunam, who is a strong supporter of Senator Helen Esuene, ruled out any political undertone in the kidnap saga, saying the electionshad since finished and his candidate had no case standing against her at the tribunal.Mrs. Edunam, who works with the State House of Assembly, according to the husband, is a quiet woman. He said the kidnappers were demanding a N100 million ransom. He called on the law enforcement agencies to come to his rescue, as he would not have such a huge amount to pay for the release of his wife.
As at the time of  this report, the police spokesman in the state, Onyeka Orji, said the command was not aware of the incident.

This whole story is still not clear to me. Why is the command not aware of this incident yet. Maybe I will find out later
