UNN compulsorily Vacate Students for 2-week Break; after rumour of Riot

Students of the prestigious Nigeria University,University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) have been forced to vacate the institution within 24 hours for a two-week break.

According to the official statement from the university management, signed by its Chief Public Relations Officer, Okwun Omeaku.

“This is to bring to the notice of all students and the entire University Community, which the University of Nigeria shall precede on a TWO-WEEK MID SEMESTER BREAK with immediate effect,"
“Consequently, all academic activities on the campuses are hereby suspended for the period.
“Students are by this notice directed to vacate their hostels within the next 24 HOURS, i.e., not later than 6pm. on TUESDAY, JUNE 02, 2015″.

Though the signed statement by the management called this "a TWO-WEEK MID SEMESTER BREAK", Nigeriatopstories gathered that the shutdown was done as a result of students' plan to riot.
A close interrogation of some of the students revealed that the plan to riot is as a result of weeks of acute water scarcity and epileptic power supply.

“No power supply, no water in campus”, one of the student complied.

Right away, students are angrily leaving the campus premises.

The official UNN website has no trace of information on this current situation.
