The Daily Trust has reveal Bill Gate promise in eradicating polio epedermic in Nigeria by the year 2013. He made this vow on his visit to Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State of Nigeria as part of his compaign tour against disease. He describe 90% drop-down in number of people affected in Nigeria by 2010..
He, however, lamented bitterly in the deterioration in 2011 as the disease spread in Mali and Niger as well as in Kebbi State.

He said his Foundation would, through prompt release of funds, routine immunization, mass awareness campaign and personal involvement, empower political and traditional leaders in the fight against the disease.
In his remarks, Governor Saidu Usman Dakingari attributed the setback in the campaign against polio to “a little shift from that direction to electioneering and turnaround gap experienced between last stock and replenishment of drugs for running the program.”
He stressed the need to revamp the health care delivery system that would facilitate the implementation of the integrated management of childhood illnesses.
Also speaking, Minister of State for Health Muhammad Ali Pate expressed optimism that polio would be eradicated as small pox was completely eradicated in the 1960’s.
